1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Something other than camp

I havent written many posts and of those the grand majority have had a common theme of "camp posts." considering ive been there practically the entire summer i suppose that would pretty much be all i have to write about. But something else has been in the back of my mind, behind thoughts of "opium for the soul" and salt staff applications. (for those of you wondering i will record a sumarry of my adventures in wautoma later) here goes.........

Next school year ill be a senior. This year will hopefully be the best and maybe, just maybe ill be a little more loveable and a little bit less of a loser but either way ill still be me. though i think im gonna wear more plaid this year. My schedule looks exactly like this:

Semester 1
1. Government
2. Concert Choir
3. Religion 12 (Bartelt)
4. Pre-Calc
5. Foods 1
6. Symphonic Band
7. Earth Science
8. Study Hall

Semester 2 (This is where it starts to suck)
1. Cold War
2. Concert Choir
3. Religion 12
4. Pre-Calc
5. Speach
6. Band
7. Creative Writing (hafferman)
8. World Lit.

Yeah, three lit classes in one semester. i have time to tackle those later though. What im really excited about right now though is having religion with mr. bartelt. he seems like such a different kind of guy compared with pastor moldenhauer and ive heard alot of good stuff about him. other than classes though and also more important are the morning bible studies that the amazing Ali German has pushed. Im blown away with how much she wants this to succede and im definetly more confident of its success than at any point when i heard the idea. Despite my confidence i really have no idea of how its gonna work out. will we go about it like a church bible study and if so what materials will we be using. i think has to be allowing the study to be very open and allow those who want to lead a chance to do so. Other than the actual carrying out we also have to consider the location. I know the cafeteria is perfect except for the fact that teachers walk through there all the time to enter the school. not only would that be distracting but how would we handle a teacher if they tried to join us or tell us off. i dont see the latter as a problem but teachers for better or for worse will definetly be very interested. to be honest the teachers make me the most nervous. The people who want to come to bible study will come and hopefully they'll be there for the right reasons, no matter what though if anyone wants to come they will most definetly be welcome. however what if teachers try to either monitor, control, participate or simply watch. any of these could cause problems and theirs so much now that i dont know about. ill post on this later because success could do alot for those seeking spiritual growth and also make open christianity more prevelent throughout the school. despite my worries about classes or bible study i know God will turn everything out for the best

keep me in your prayers. ill be in west allis for day came this week and somehow next week im goin back up to camp to work in the kitchen. if someone out there could give me a ride id give you a hug and write you mail. (if you think this is bribary your absolutely right)
God Bless you All

You wear that plaid good Schleef.
Before school Bible study would be awesome... I should work on that this year. It would be a good way to start schooldays. I'm still reveling in my last success of my church starting a youth group in the near future. Finally!

If Camp Phillip is Opium for the soul, Jason Schleef in plaid is Marijuana for the eyes.
